Catalog of Entrance

National Louis University anticipates that students entering their program during the effective term of this catalog will be governed by the degree requirements and other policies and procedures set forth herein. If a student has been continuously enrolled in his or her program and the degree requirements change due to a program revision, the student may choose to meet either the requirements for the term they were admitted or the new requirements. Students who wish to change their program of study must complete the Change of Program form in consultation with their Academic Advisor and complete degree requirements in effect at the time of admission to the new program.

Students may have to meet new requirements if the program revision is a result of changes to licensure and endorsements at the state level or programmatic and specialized approvals by accrediting bodies or other agencies.

Returning Students

National Louis University will make reasonable effort to recognize previously completed requirements but all returning students must adhere to the current requirements.

Students who have been away from the University for more than one year but fewer than five years fall into the re-entry status and must meet the degree requirements of the catalog in effect at the time of their reentry. Students who have been away for more than five years must apply for re-admission and will be governed by the catalog at the time of their readmission.

Undergraduate students who completed all requirements or were missing up to 15 QH for completion of their original degree requirements may be granted exception to return and be graduated under their original catalog requirements as determined by the Office of the Registrar and Program Director.

Likewise, students previously enrolled in an undergraduate degree completion program (B.A. Applied Behavioral Sciences and B.S. Health Care Leadership) who completed the entire old major core will be moved to the catalog requirements in effect at the time of their return but have their old core used in lieu of the current core requirements. Students who did not complete the entire original core requirements will be moved to the current degree requirements at the term of re-entry/re-admission and have major coursework evaluated by the faculty for applicability to current requirements.
