Scholarships

A number of institutional scholarships are available to WPCC students through the Western Piedmont Foundation. The online scholarship application is available on WPCC's Scholarship webpage from February 1st until June 1st each year with the scholarships to be awarded for the following academic year. In addition, many local agencies, clubs, organizations, and businesses sponsor other scholarships. North Carolina Scholarship

The NC Scholarship is new for 23-24 and consolidates need-based state grant funds and replaces the Education Lottery Scholarship, Community College Grant, and UNC Need-Based Grant. The NC Scholarship requires a minimum enrollment of 6 SHCs and only awards for the Fall and Spring terms. To be considered for the NC Scholarship, students must be a NC resident for tuition purposes, meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
