SySc 531 Data Mining with Information Theory
DMIT is a hands-on project-based course in which students use information- and graph-theoretic methods to analyze their own data to discover complex and nonlinear interactions. These methods are implemented in OCCAM, software developed at PSU, the main analytical tool used in the course. Also offered for undergraduate-level credit as SySc 431 and may be taken only once for credit.
Prerequisite
upper-division standing and completion of one of the SySc cluster courses.
