NSCI 4180 Neuroscience Seminar

This seminar course, for participants in the neuroscience major, examines current topics in the neurosciences and religion. Specific topics may vary by semester. Seminars include paper critiques, research proposals, and student presentations.
Corequisite: NSCI 3310, NSCI 3320, NSCI 3330, or NSCI 4320. May be repeated for credit.

NSCI 4195 Neuroscience Capstone Seminar

This seminar course is for participants in the neuroscience major. It consists of an original research proposal, written in a format of the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program grant. The capstone is completed in the fall of the student’s senior year and is evaluated by faculty members. Prerequisites: NSCI 3310, NSCI 3320, NSCI 3330, NSCI 4180, and senior classification.

NSCI 4320 Clinical Neuropathology

This course captures foundational concepts in modern psychiatric care and neuroscience and makes them clear and accessible. It provides students with a broad knowledge base covering many of the latest developments in the field of neuroscience, including our most modern understanding of developmental disorders, various pathologies of neurological systems, the role of microbiology in neurological care and more. Upon completion, students will be well prepared to pursue graduate study or work in the sciences, armed with a strong understanding of the current state of both Neuroscience and Mental Health and the connections between both. This online class has optional live sessions.
Prerequisites: NSCI 3320, and PSYC 1301
