Exploring the Major— Students interested in this major should take COM 100 as early as possible.

Admission to the Major— Successful completion of at least one COM course.

Course Sequencing Considerations (in order to complete degree requirements within eight terms)— Students are encouraged to complete COM 220 (formerly COM 300), a survey course that helps prepare students for other course work in the major, before or during the term in which they declare the major. Freshmen are discouraged from taking COM 220 until their sophomore year. COM 410 should be taken during the senior year.
