NP 721 Primary Care Child I Theory

Prerequisites: NP-762N; Pre- or Co-requisites: NP-739 Pass/Fail not available; audit available. This course focuses on providing culturally sensitive primary health care to well children. Students will apply health and developmental screening techniques in the assessment of growth and development within the framework of health supervision visits. The development of diagnostic reasoning leads to differential diagnoses of common functional and developmental problems in children. Students will begin to identify with the role of a primary care provider focused on family-centered wellness and health promotion of children.
