RLL 595AH Special Topic: Transforming Learning and Literacy with Tablet Technology

This course explores the current research on, apps for, and experiences of K12 practitioners and institutions using tablet technologies to increase reading literacy. Tablets, such as iPads, can be used for P12 learning activities and assessment, and communication with students and parents. Candidates will participate in activities focused on how they can use tablet technology to promote comprehension, increase literacy, and differentiate their teaching emergent, beginning, and fluent readers. Candidates will need access to the required device as indicated. Can be used as an elective in the TIE programs (MED/CAS). Pre-requisite(s): None. Co-requisite(s): None. 1 semester hours
