Geog 495 Maps, Models, and GIS

Analysis and display of spatial data, emphasizing environmental questions within the framework of the raster data model. Topics include an introduction to general systems theory, the nature of models, cartographic model development, model implementation procedures, map algebra, vectortoraster data conversion, guidelines for symbol usage, and the incorporation of digital remote sensing data into map models. Also offered for graduate-level credit as Geog 595 and may be taken only once for credit.
