PHTH 7259 Inpatient Physical Therapy Practice

In-depth study of the physical therapist’s role in patient/client management in the inpatient setting (i.e., general medicine, surgical practice, critical care, and post-acute care rehabilitation placement); addresses the five elements of patient/client management by the physical therapist - examination, evaluation of examination results, diagnosis, establishing a prognosis, and instituting appropriate interventions; investigates relationship between pharmacological management and physical therapy interventions.
