PHRM 612 Principles of Drug Action II

Provides understanding of molecular mechanisms of drug action that underlie the principles of pharmaceutical treatment and management of disease. The course will build on concepts learned in Principles of Drug Action I and explore the foundations of pathophysiology and pharmacology for major organ systems such as the cardiovascular, endocrine, renal, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary systems. Molecular mechanism of action, clinical indications, and class-specific adverse effects will be introduced for each system.
