PHRM 799 IPPE-2 institutional Practice

Introduces practical aspects of institutional pharmacy practice and prepares learners for practice of Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs).  Pharmaceutical care is demonstrated through administrative, clinical and distributive functions of a pharmacist.  Emphasizes best practices and technologies to advance quality and safety in areas such as medication procurement, storage and distribution, preparation, administration, and monitoring.  Learning activities to build foundational pharmacist proficiency include sterile compounding, medication management, clinical monitoring of drug therapy, drug information, regulatory readiness, and interdisciplinary teamwork.
