HPSYCH-452 Abnormal Psychology

Prerequisites: None. This course provides an overview of abnormal psychology in science and clinical practice. As health care policy incorporates a more integrated perspective on behavioral and physical health, students in the health care professions benefit from a greater understanding of mental health disorders and the latest evidence for their prevention and treatment. Through reading, online discussion, quizzes, and case studies participants will gain a broad understanding of abnormal psychology in science and clinical practice. Discussions are structured to facilitate the application of abnormal psychology concepts to work in the health professions.
