CAS 301 Preparing for Medical School

A comprehensive overview of the medical school application process for Junior and Senior level students who have made a well-informed decision to pursue medical school and a career as a physician. During the course students will gain resources and information covering the many parts involved with preparing and applying to medical school. Upon completion, students should be well situated to position themselves for the best application possible for acceptance into medical school. Course is grade P/NP.

CAS 312 Imagining our Futures: Making Sense of Racial Justice, COVID-19, and Climate Crisis

In this responsive, transdisciplinary course, and with the instruction of faculty across the University, students grapple with some of today’s biggest crises. Students will use multiple academic lenses to learn how racial justice, public health, and environmental collapse disrupt and intersect with the pursuit of justice, peace, and health. While this course will meet weekly, most learning will take place asynchronously online.

CAS 347 Theological Reflection Seminar

This 1 credit course is a formation requirement each semester for those students serving in leadership as Faith & Formation Ambassadors in their Hall Communities. Under the guidance of the Faith & Formation Leadership Staff, the course engages diverse resources of the University and surrounding community to assist students’ preparation and presentation of reflective case studies based on their experience serving as faith leaders in their communities. Course is graded P/NP.
