COMM 3365 Advanced Media Writing and Design

Integrates interviewing, writing and reporting skills to produce in-depth stories, plus learning a professional layout and design software program. Students will work on multiple-source projects writing complex articles. Students also will begin using an industry-standard design and layout software program incorporating text, headlines and images in their design projects. This course builds on previous coursework in writing, AP Style and digital photography. Online portfolio required for final project. Outstanding students may progress to a limited number of paid student publication staff positions. Lab Fee. Prerequisite: COMM 2360
