TIE 203 Technology for Educators

This is an introductory survey course with emphasis on technology skill development and appropriate ways to use technology across the curriculum. Students learn computer literacy and its use in education through hands-on activities, such as word processing, presentation software, graphics and instructional software, basic web design, and Web 2.0 Internet resources. Students create technology projects encouraging the discussion and reflection of effective integration strategies for utilizing those technology projects in the classroom. The class time is split between the classroom and online work, some in an adaptive learning environment. Laboratory course is required for Pathways students. Pre-requisite(s): None. Co-requisite(s): TIE 203L. 5 quarter hours
