AS - Air and Space Studies
AS 101, "Heritage and Values," allows students to examine general aspects of the Department of the Air Force, Air Force Leadership, Air Force benefits, and opportunities for Air Force officers. The course lays the foundation for becoming an Airman by outlining our heritage and values.

It is imperative that cadets are taught from the beginning that there are many layers to leadership, including aspects that don’t always jump to mind. Such things include listening, understanding themselves, being a good follower, and problem solving efficiently.

AS 401 is designed for college seniors and gives them the foundation to understand their role as military officers in American society. It is an overview of the complex social and political issues facing the military profession and requires a measure of sophistication commensurate with the senior college level. Special topics of interest focus on the military as a profession, officership, military law, evaluations, and joint warfighting.
