5.5.1. Preclinical Year Summative Examinations
Students must be in good standing (not on academic probation and with no incomplete courses) and have successfully completed all requirements of the preclinical year in order to take the Preclinical Year Summative written and practical examinations.
Students must achieve a passing score of 77% on the Preclinical Year Summative written exam. A student will be permitted one opportunity for a retake of the Preclinical Year Summative written examination and/or practical examination upon failure of the first administered assessment. Any retake will require a minimum of 30 days of remediation approved by the SDC prior to retesting and will result in a delay to the start of clinical rotations by at least one clerkship.
Failure to pass a retake of the Preclinical Year Summative written examination or practical examination will result in referral to SDC.
