5.7.2. Appealing Academic Progression and Dismissal
The dismissal of a student from the PA program is determined by the PA Program Director, generally after extensive review of student performance and program policy followed by recommendation from a program standing committee, such as the SDC. Students have the right to appeal a dismissal through their school dean. Grounds for dismissal appeal include a procedural error, error of fact, or failure of faculty or designated committees to adhere to published standards. Request for appeal for a dismissal from the program is time limited and detailed in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences Appeals Policy.
