EPS 511 Human Learning and Development in Instructional Contexts
Candidates learn information from evidence-based foundational psychological theories and research that address human development and how people learn and apply this knowledge to the design of teaching and learning experiences in P-12 classrooms. Cognitive and social-emotional development and learning processes of P-12 learners are examined. Candidates learn how to use high-leverage practices and habits of mind that promote ongoing learning and mental health in schools and acquire skill in creating safe, supportive, and productive classroom climates.
