RBT 100 Registered Behavior Technician Certification Preparation

This course is intended to prepare students to complete their certification as a Registered Behavior Technician by providing the training necessary to demonstrate proficiency in the RBT Task List. Students will learn the basic principles of applied behavior analysis and how to apply this knowledge within professional settings supporting behavior change for their clients. Students will learn about professional conduct and the scope of practice as an RBT, including the role of supervision and how to maintain client dignity. Additionally, students will be taught tools to effectively demonstrate the basic skill competencies in measurement, assessment, skill acquisition, behavior reduction, and documentation, to be effective behavior practitioners and meet the demands of their positions as RBTs. This training program is based on the current RBT Task List and is designed to meet the 40-hour training requirement for RBT certification. The program is offered independent of the BACB. Pre-requisite(s): None. Co-requisite(s): CAR 204. 7 quarter hours
