PA-822 Pediatrics Clerkship

Prerequisites: Successful completion of all first-year courses and any previous clerkships.  The pediatric clerkship is a required five-week clinical experience caring for children. The student will have the opportunity to practice the application of and expand their knowledge and skills in the evaluation and management of common conditions encountered in a pediatric setting. Additionally students will assess normal and abnormal growth and development in the infant, child and adolescent patient. Students will learn under the supervision of a program-determined preceptor and his or her designee(s).
