LAA322 19th and 20th Century Art

Development of painting, sculpture, architecture and the crafts in Europe and the United States during the 19th and 20th centuries. Students study relationships between art of a period and societal contexts, including political events, economic trends, and technological advances of the time. Emphasis on the contributions of specific artists. Gallery and museum trips included. 2-5 quarter hours Counts in the Fine Arts or Humanities Area of General Education Requirements.
