CIW509 First Aid Safety and Injury Prevention
This course is designed to foster an understanding of safety rules and injury prevention in the home, school and community and to prepare the student to act in an emergency. Basic principles of First Aid, Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use will be taught. Upon completion of this course, the candidate will receive American Red Cross certification in CPR, AED, and Standard First Aid. Prerequisite(s): None 2 semester hours
